George is building out the front deck. Here he is cutting off the extra length from the foundation bolts.

I like sparks.

Picture below, the round black disks are spacers that keep potential rot from spreading from a deck to the house.

My neighbor's tree (a chinese pistachio) got cut down. It was a very exciting thing to watch and the guy here has been cutting trees down for 36 years. He shared that he once in his career fell 15' and broke 8 ribs. He said it happened when he realized that a trunk was gonna fall on electrical lines so he pulled on the trunk and fell backwards. This the tree went down very fast. I was impressed.

 Waterproofing has been put onto the roofs to get ready for the coming rain. Possibly Wednensday.

 View of the garage roof below. The materials on it will be the foundation for the green roof that will go on top.

I've been fortunate for the dry weather during my build. Although its not so great for California.

The guy on the far left, on the roof, is the roofing guy and his crew are putting in the first components of the water-proofing "stuff."

Wednesday morning

 Corrected window opening.

 My Kohler bathtub has arrived. This guy will go down into the basement.

 They've opened up the main bathroom floor to convert it into a wet room. Viewed from the doorway.

They're building out the frame work for the bathroom and closet. George (bless his soul) stopped working on the sofits because he recognized that it was creating a weird effect because it sloped too close to the windows. So were gonna level the sofits.

 Again George has caught something that would improve the look of the light panel at the top of the column. I like this guy.
