Work on the second floor continues.

Well, they are taking some of the trash away now. I've been told that green building with SIPs produces less land-fill trash compared to traditional stick building.
View from backyard of the second floor.
 Different corner of yard.
The stair well is showing platforms. The four wooden beams are really long!
Men working in my future office space.
I had to fudge this photo to show any detail because of the background sun light.
Another view from the front.

Second floor walls is starting to be built.

Stairs from garage to kitchen.
view of the metal beam again.
 The floor/ceiling is on.

 Huge metal beam.
 Garage looks cool.
While moving the crane one of the crew broke the water pipe. There was so much water gushing down the street. Luckily the guy was able to shut it off. The property was tight for maneuvering.
I couldn't climb up the ladder any further because of my fear of unsecured ladders but the view is spectacular.
Building the stairs, starting in the basement.
View from back of the house. Don is walking along the side.
Very quickly they added another wall.
View from front. Robert Dill is watching things.

Christmas Update

Here is Forrest, the architect who designed my dream home. Mugsy (his dog) is mysteriously missing. The back light from the sun made this shot underexposed.
Interior view of front doorway. The kitchen area is on the right and the guest bathroom and bedroom on the left.
Interior view of backyard. In the middle is the metal sheer wall. On the left is the entrance to the garage. This is the view of the dinning and living room areas. Check out the size of the windows!
Huge steel beam to support the roof.
The back garage side of the house.
The back stairway side of the house.
 Forrest is surveying the roof.
This will be the stairway to master bedroom and the basement.
Close up of the steel beam and joists.
