Today, Ernie and his crew came and scored my basement slab. This is to prevent random cracking because its such a large slab of cement flooring.
Update: I learned that there are two types of concrete. Those that are cracked and those that will crack. So the scoring of the slab is an essential effort at controlling the phenomena.
